MASTER LEDtube is the right solution for Dansk Supermarked.
Existing fittings are reused , so it’s only been the capacitors that are removed and the glow starter switches replaced with dummy starters. The LEDtube base can be rotated to fit the fittings, so it is a simple operation.
The new LED tubes provide a power saving of 53% per fitting (for a 36 W fitting). "We used an external company to measure the energy consumption, as we wanted a completely objective result," says Ulrik Leth, the Electricity Installer at Dansk Supermarked .
"The LED tubes also offer an extra benefit because of their long lifespan. Instead of the T8 tubes lifespan of around 13,000 hours we have our new LED tubes lasting around 50/60,000 hours which means we save the costs of replacement, and increase the lifespan of our oldest fittings, as we no longer risk breaking them when replacing the tubes."
